Elaborate Peony Tiffany Lamp

Elaborate Peony Lamp

ca. 1898

This petite ‘Elaborate Peony’ shade is one of the earliest leaded-glass lampshade designs created in Tiffany’s studios — and only one of two examples known to survive. It derives its highly unusual shape from blown-glass shades already in production for Tiffany’s early fuel lamps.
